We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. PayDay Expense Stack securely stores your data using Apple's CloudKit/SwiftData service. This allows for secure synchronization across your devices while maintaining strong privacy protections. If iCloud is unavailable or disabled, the app seamlessly falls back to storing all of your data locally on your device.
Local & Cloud Storage
All your personal financial data—including your pay periods, bank balances, custom expenses, bills, payment instruments, debt progress, and notes—is stored directly on your device. The app is built with privacy-first architecture, meaning your sensitive financial information is kept completely within your control.
Secure CloudKit Communication
While your data can securely synchronize via Apple's CloudKit for cross-device access and backup, the app does
not transmit your data to any other third-party APIs, servers, or external services. All core financial calculations and allocations remain completely local to your device.
CloudKit for Secure Storage
CloudKit is Apple's cloud service designed for app developers to store and sync data securely. It offers
end-to-end encryption, meaning your data is encrypted on your device before being uploaded to iCloud and can
only be decrypted by your trusted devices. We utilize CloudKit's private database containers, ensuring that your
data remains tied to your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us or any other third party.
Payment Instruments & Data Privacy
PayDay Expense Stack allows you to input details for your payment accounts (such as account name, type, and the last four digits of a card/account) to help you track which bills were paid from which instrument. This is purely for identification purposes within the app; we never ask for, nor do we store, full account numbers, routing numbers, PINs, security codes, or credentials.
Analytics & Tracking
We do not use analytics tools, cookies, or trackers. No usage statistics, performance logs, or personal behavior data are collected or stored.
